It isn't whether the water drained out, it is how quickly the water drained out. Common causes of the LD or long drain fault code are a kinked drain hose or some article of clothing being caught in the pump suction hose and increasing the time that it takes for the water to drain. It has to do with the cycle timer. I would look for some sort of obstruction. Also check the pump impeller for broken/missing blades and that it spins freely. If not, the pump is defective. Hopefully it is just a clogged drain line or pump. Hope this helped and best wishes.
I had this problem with the LD Code I replaced the computer board and It didnt fix the problem I ended up changing the drain pump.
Whirlpool has changed the pump to the same pump as the recirculating pump and I can tell you It has a more robust impeller on It Part #10217134 is the one you want. With the new pump when the water has drained out you can hear it cavertating and pushing air out the hose and also pushing air up the clear plastic hose to the computerboard to tell It the drum Is empty of water and to start the spin cycle
It worked for me
