No PC stated. no OS stated, so... weak answers... next.
actually only old windows did that!
once it needs to do that, that means the HDD shows errors.
they are not ever supposed to show errors
and in fact self repair them selves (2001 to now HDD)

what I do is shut the PC off.
them test the hDD as remote disk and run smart tests
or
boot the same PC with say linux demo disk (or usb stick)
and RUN SMART test.
if the fail the HDD is no good. hopeless cases.
the next actions is backup data.
the PC you have running silly old chkdsk
will actually damage more data doing that,
that is why w10 does not do that, it just tells you
smart fails on HDD0 or the like.

Just 2 steps of you have the linux media pre made.
as all techs do.
no PC stated and viewsonic is not a PC.
boot to linux, click try me, then run disktest
if it fails smart tests the hdd is bad.

    fully and completely, ask.

Engine LSU error

with an lsu error the paper will get to the cartridge and the laser scanning unit will start charging the transfer drum, at this point the printer realises the laser scanning unit isnt working properly and stops all operation hence the paper stopping at that point, usually this means a replacement lsu which unfortunately isnt deemed a "user serviceable part" contact a service centre armed with this information and your better placed to get a speedy repair

My viewsonic monitor is not working

Considering the price of monitors versus the cost of repair. It would cost less to replace the monitor.

VX922 monitor, blank screen, blinking power light

If there is a flashing led on front of the monitor, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the Monitor goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1 The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or a broken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the monitor will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occurr suddenly are a blown capacitor on power board, the inverter board powering up backlight lamp has blown, or a fault on main lcd controller board.
check also the video cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

Check connectors, try moving the video cable, and if the cable is not built in, then also try a replacement cable.

If under warranty contact Viewsonic to find out a Viewsonic service point.

Monitor stops display

most likley the monitor has an internal power supply failure, generally the cost of repair could be higher than buying a new one.If your monitor is still in its warranty period contact the manufacturer,if not do you know of a local tv repair shop that provides free estimates to confirm cost of repair vs. replacement?
