There is a problem with the lsu/charger cleaning motor. Maybe one of the four main charger or LSU has stuck. Check the main chargers and the LSUs if their gears rotate properly or they are stuck somewhere. Otherwise, the motor that drives the cleaners is defective. You can isolate the automatic LSU/Charger cleaning by remove the connector from the engine pwb. First you have to check if the lsu/charger cleaners are at home position or not.
open the front door and take the cartrige out. if it jams at the black roller. you must clean the pickup roller. you will see it at the back of the unit in the center.
lsu stands for laser scanning unit. it tansfers the image onto the transfer drum, common problems are horizontal sync, i would suggest a replacement lsu
Hi, Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC.
Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other
debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry. Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and
replug and try a test print. Also make sure that you have waited long enough
for the printer to heat up before giving a print job. Finally, it could be an issue with the paper
sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for
servicing..
