This simply means the printer has a problem. Just make sure that nothing is jammed in it and restart. If this does not work then this is the next step. The printer either is not turning due to something stuck in it or it is not able to sense rotation. If you are not familiar with electro mechanics, take it to a dealer to have the printer tested. Otherwise, check all sensors and motor windings, connections to printer etc. Hope this helps!

Sanyo information is very scarce as they are a very small player in the register market now, so I have no details on the 140. However, the standard error E01 usually refers to lack of clerk. This means you must sign a clerk onto the machine. See if you have a clerk or cashier button. Press 1 then clerk.
