PROBLEM RESOLVED!!!

The best I could find by scouring the internet was that it was a communication problem between the central control unit and the electronic control box. I was getting F1 codes that would stop the wash, then diagnostics showed F68 and F41 codes.
Sears wanted to charge $65 just to come out and diagnose it themselves, and these appliance sites wanted to charge their own fees to offer solutions. So I took a chance and ordered a new electronic control box ($146.00 + S&H) and installed it myself.
There are three long screws behind the control unit "hood", in the back-top of the washer, facing straight up and down. After unscrewing, I lifted up the hood up and forward, and there was a black box - the electronic control. First, you should check all the wires and make sure the connections are ok. If that still doesn't fix it, unplug all the wires, and take the electronic control out by unscrewing one 1/4" bolt. Put the new one in and re-wire everything (it shows what wires go where on the electronic control box - named by colors). No more error codes!

This washer is only a year and a half old as well, I guess it will pobably be my last Kenmore/Whirlp

SOURCE: Maytag Washer Getting stuckon wash cycle

the possibility of it being the timer is most likely..as the rest of the cycles remain ok.. if you require a timer, you can get one here at this link..(click the link here) http://www.easyapplianceparts.com/AdvancedModelSearch.aspx?ModelNum=HAV4657EWW&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=1

please be aware that you will need the machine serial number in order for them to issue you with the correct part/s you will require.. parts are cross referenced with the serial number.

these diagrams will also enlarge in order for you to maintain your machine by yourself at little but the cost of the parts required... but please DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIR YOURSELF if you think you may not have the technical know how to follow these technical drawings..hope this helps

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Error message code F1

HELLO, Error code F1 indicates a control failure and most likely the machine control board will have to be replaced. Depending on when you purchased the machine, the board may be covered under extended component warranty.
I had the same F1 problem and they had to replace the control board and something relating to the balance. The tech told me this is a common problem.

SOURCE: fridgidaire front loader wont go thru spin cycle

Hi,
This sounds like it is either part of the motor that is burnt out, or a fault on the control board that controls the fast spin speed.
The motors have a number of coils, so a fault with one will cause problems at just one speed.
The power transistors on the control board can also fail - leaving one speed dead, so either of these faults may be the reason yours is not working.

#1 - Check all motor coils
#2 - Check operation of output Power transistors.
Above tests should be performed by competent engineer only.

There is also another fault concerned with an unballanced load - If it spins a few times and bounces a lot, then it will abort the spin cycle. This is usually the fault of the dampers - which are a cheap replacement.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 skips wash cycle and stops after 14 minutes to oL

oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.

If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.

Off balance cabrio!

Check your 4 struts, you only had to re-fix your load when it became unbalanced. Better still check on 'youtube' with brand model for solutions. There are possibilities for re-selling the board. Hope this helps......

UL keeps coming on the screen, will spin for 1 or 2 minutes and then UL shows up again

Hi, UL means Unbalanced load in Whirlpool Cabrio....
UL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load, and is steady on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load. Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load. If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the door lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load....

When we try to wash a load of laundry after a couple minutes we get the code F1 show up and the wash cycle turns off. What is F1 and how can we fix it so the Whirlpool Cabrio washer will work again?

We have had the same problem for three years. We are only using this washer about 4 months a year. We has two service calls..no help. We had to baby sit the washer just like all the other posts, pressing pause about five or six times or more.

Well, I read the posts & that Whirlpool had fixed this problem, paying for parts & labor..we called..they sent a repairman. It took him 20 minutes, he asked if this was the code, said he carried at least three of these parts & now..the washer has been running fine. three loads so far.

So, call them, tell them the problem & it will be fixed at no expense to you..or should be.

Error f1 flashes after just a few seconds of turning on the wash cycle. if i turn off power and try to start again it will somtimes start if not i turn off and try again sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times to...

The Whirlpool Cabrio and Kenmore Oasis (same machine) are infamous for this problem. Depending on the serial number you may be entitled to a new control board installed for free under a recall program. Call Whirlpool for eligibility. I had just had mine replaced last week for free and it runs fine now.
