Blue blur in lower left corner & missing blue color eslewhere
I have an LCD projection TV. When I turn it on, it looks black and white, but actually you can see reds and greens on the screen, but there is a collection of blue light in the lower left corner. It appears that I have a blue light that is no longer aimed properly. What is the issue and is it worth paying for repair?

catually is problum is related with blue lcd & blue polizer but first you clean the optical unit if the problum gon then ok other wise must chang blue lcd & blue polorize with uv filter plese contect to your nearst sony service centre
It is most likely the tube going out. Find some one to replace the tube if the TV is fairly new other wise it is going to be a trend. One tube now and another.. and so on. Ride it out as long as you can then go for an upgrade
sounds like the linear adjustment is out of whack.....most projection type tvs, projection, lcd, plasma, have to be correctly aligned so that the color grids overlap each other to properly display the correct hue being created. you'd need the service code to re-adjust it, or have it serviced. also possible that one of the color grids is bad, but if you have all three (red, blue, green) colors showing on the entire screen area i would doubt it
Sony tech support (no charge) said it was definitely not the lamp.
Their suggestion- By unplugging the TV for a minute then turning back on, the blue color was substantially but not toally reduced.
Perhaps there is an electrical charge building up distoring the color by having the TV in the ready mode for too long and by unplugging, the charge dissipates?
No other phone solution recommended other than calling for repairs.
