SOURCE: zd8000 keyboard is skipping letters and spaces

Hey I have an HP zd8000 also and I've experienced everything that you guys mentioned. What's a laptop without a battery if you can't take it anywhere? After two years, I got so frustrated. I researched HP's web site and came across a battery recall. I just got mines in the mail today (Dec. 1, 2008), and my notebook is portable again! :D They will ask for your battery serial number. While typing the serial number be sure not to mix up the letter 'B' with the number '8', or else it will show as invalid serial. This is the link for the HP Battery Replacement Program!

I hope this solves your problem!

SOURCE: The keyboard types more than one letter when

try going into the control panel. should see a mouse and key board setting try changing the sensitivity in there. I know you can do that with a mouse. some key boards are just sensitive just give it a light tap and it won't do that your holding it down to long.

While typing keyboard letters ,it is typed double letters

Go under CONTROL PANEL then KEYBOARD and adjust the sensitivity. It is probably set too high, thus repeating keystrokes.

Hard to type. Does not type all of the letters.

Please make sure that the wireless sensor is working properly, and there shud not be any kind of disruption in the signals between laptop and keyboard.
