Looking for a replacement power/boot up switch for a hp pavilion a1730n

TRY ANY PC-DEALER OR HARDWARESTORE.

I would run a registry utility to remove the broken links and then run antivirus just in case.

At the top of the PDF file is the Page Number box. It is to the Right of the blue Down Arrow.
Use the Down Arrow until you come to Page 7.
Pages 7 through 10 detail how to remove and replace the Memory Card Reader drive.

Scroll down, and click on the + sign next to > Motherboard layout.

Now you can look at the illustration, and refer back to the photo.

Look at the bottom of the motherboard illustration.
You will see F_USB1 and F_USB2.

One of those USB headers is used for the Front USB ports on the Front Panel of the computer, the other one is to connect the gray cables from the Memory Card Reader. (I'm thinking F_USB2)

Check the bottom of the desktop for a screw, I've come across the same thing before a couple of times.

Let me know if that was it.

you may need to have powered speakers to hear them - - lots of pc's need powered speakers because the onboard audio is so low

Try safemode boot than restart again. Sounds like it's hanging up loading drivers.

Try to use DVD cleaner cd, if it doesnot work, this means the lens is bad, replace it.

If you are wanting the keyboard to type as English, then you need to reinstall windows and set you Country of Residnce to England or USA English

As long as you have the CD, or can download the drivers from the Sony webpage, you can.
