SOURCE: How do the staples stay in place in my stanley 1/4" stapler? They slide back and forth and therefore aren't in place for the stapler to work?

There should be a pusher that is attached to a spring. If the spring broke, or the pusher is missing the staples will not stay in place.

If you can locate a model number on the tool, you go to bostitch.com to find the parts you may need

SOURCE: I have a stanley TR150HL

If you use the picture that is posted as a reference, the staples are put into the gun by removing the bottom right- hand ( black insert)spring loaded slider. To describe it another way ..... when you hold the stapler in your hand , the staples go in the shoe bottom at the very rear of the gun. This is shown as the black indent at the back and bottom of gun. It is keyed in and is spring loaded ( to feed the staples) so don't be afraid to wiggle until you see how it is kept in the load trough. Good luck....hope this helped.

Open and load staples b660

Hold on to the chrome part near where the staples come out and lift up on the top plastic part. There is a video link on the Bostitch site to the right midway down the page

There are 4 staplers in the Stanley SharpShooter family. You drop the staples on top of the "slide out loader," then slide it into the gun. See models and staple sizes below:

  • Stanley SharpShooter TRA700 series or Arrow T-50 heavy duty staples

TR150 SharpShooter
  • Stanley SharpShooter TRA700 series or Arrow T-50 heavy duty staples

  • TRA700 series or Arrow T-50 heavy duty staples (1/4"-3/8")

TR250 SharpShooter Plus Heavy Duty Staple/Brad Nail Gun
  • Stanley SharpShooter TRA700 series or Arrow T-50 heavy duty staples and 1/2", 9/16" and 5/8" Brads

I have a Stanley Heavy duty stapler Model# TR250 and for the life of me I cant load the staples. Please help!

Most staplers load from the rear, but not the TR250 Sharpshooter.

With the stapler upside down and the sliding rail out drop a whole strip of staples in the channel upside down (points up) and then push the slider back in making sure it locks.

I can not get the staples to go all the way into plywood

Try using both hands on the stapler. One on the handle with the other forcing down with your palm directly in line with the direction of the exiting staple. Some times this will allow the staple penetrate better. Make sure the stapler is square and firm on the work surface. Good luck!

How do I replace the staples in Stanley Bostitch B310HDS? I cannot seem to figure out how to open it.

"The staples load from the rear of the stapler. At the back end of the is a piece of black plastic that extends beyond the end of the stapler. This device holds the staples inside the stapler. To open the area where the staples are placed, push this extended button and lift up on it. The spring device that holds the staples inside the stapler will then slide out. Place a new strip of staples inside the stapler on top of the two metal guide rails. Then insert the spring device to lock the staples in place. The stapler is now loaded and ready to work. " hope this helps you out

Where can I buy a TR150HL?

Your local hardware store may stock, otherwise google the gun as there are many places online to purchase.
