Ice makers making grinding noise. This happens every month. What we do is unplug the fridge remove all the food in the freezer then use a blow dryer to thaw the ice build up (fan?)This is very annoying and I would like to find a permament solution. Ibought Frigidaire Professional because I thought I was getting a quality product. I guess I was wrong. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if
there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not
defrosting as it should.
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice
melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if
is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above
items.

Check the fill tube for the ice maker and make sure it is in the correct place. This sounds like the fill tube has been moved and is running water into the freezer instead of the ice maker. Let me know what you find. I am here to help you.

did you check your copper line in the back

on the bottom of the bin there is a metal rod, this goes into the back wall where the solenoid is. find the square hole it goes into, pull down the white plastic piece with your index finger. you should here a clunk. now put the bin back and check to see if ok. if not you may need to replace the solenoid assy.

the icemaker is not making ice,In the bottom of refridegerator you can see some coils and they are iced over bad.
