Frigidaire Pro Series fridge
model #FRT22TSEB2
Series# LA80402289
Year made...1998
For the last month or so my ice maker goes through the motions of making ice and yet, no cubes are made. I'm guessing the water is not getting to it. How do I check to see if this is the case and fix it? The motor is working just fine.
Also, for almost 3 months now the freezer door has begun dripping alot of water from the bottom of it, and either it ends up on the floor when you open the door, or it leaks down onto the top of the fridge door.
Any idea what would cause this??
Thank you for any help you can offer!!
Check the fill tube for the ice maker and make sure it is in the correct place. This sounds like the fill tube has been moved and is running water into the freezer instead of the ice maker. Let me know what you find. I am here to help you.
In order for the ice maker to make ice obviously water has to get to the ice maker. You stated that there was no ice cubes being made but the motor was running ok. This tells me that the water is probably not getting to the ice maker. With water running out the door and onto the floor I would assume that is where the water is going. There are three places that the water may be comming from. A cracked and leaking ice maker, A leaking fill tube or a leaking fill valve on the ice maker. You probably have ice on the floor of the freezer. In either of these cases the broken or cracked component will have to be replaced or repaired for this problem the be corrected.

The line seems to be in the same position it has been for about two years. I checked though, to make certain, but to no avail. The style of fridge is topside freezer, bottom fridge not a side by side. Does the waterline run through the door?
Thank you so much for that. Now I atleast know what I am looking for and possibly need to replace.
Awesome Eddie, that was perfect!
Have a great day
I am having a similar problem: water is leaking from my refridgerator and the ice maker is no longer working.
