flashing lights, beeping sound
are error signs its posiibly the upper tension path is not threaded correctly. Check that the transparent thread path located at the top of the machine is threaded correctly.
Hold thread in both hands and slip under transparent thread guide. While holding the thread securely, pull the thread towards you and then slip it back and forth like you were flossing. You should hear or feel two clicks as the thread slips past the thread guides.
I just got mine to stop flashing lights and function again when I unplugged the cords from the machine and let it sit for a minute. You can always give that a try.
it's possible that either the computer motherboard went out on it. since it's a janome computerized sewing machine I would suggest having it serviced to see what's wrong.
Slacken the stop motion as if to wind a bobbin and press on the foot control, if the motor runs really fast then you have either thread stuck in the bobbin case area or you may need to oil the machine
