Missing Driver for Epson Powerlite?

We are trying to use our Epson Powerlite 710 on a new laptop computer (using Vista) and can not get it to read the hardware. Our older laptop (XP) does. Is there something we can download to get our Epson to work on the Vista laptop?

Thank you!

As far as I know there isn't any vista compatible software to download.
try reinstalling the drivers or If you find out what software is needed you could emulate it but that can be trickey and eats up loads of ram
as long as your new laptop isn't a dell you should be able to easely back-up your data, partition your hard drive and install xp on a partitio.
If you have a hp depending on the model you could even switch between os without turning off the computer.

My computer is toshiba vista have tried to connect my older scanner but message comming back reads - cannot communicate with scanner if using scsi connection restart computer. Also say's fine scan cannot...

its possible that the driver for your older scanner is not compatible with vista this is often the case. the disc that came with your scanner will tell you this ie: for use with win 98, me, xp. if it doesnt say vista you will have to search internet for a vista driver or go to scanner make(ie: epson.logitek) internet site and see if there is a drver there. hope this helps

I need to get a new power cord for the Epson Powerlite 5500C

Any computer supply store will ether have them or special order it for you. also try radioshack.com I know there is a replacment for this as epson does use standard pc cords so epson.com would have a solution as well.

please do rate/review solutions thanks

Powerpoint video won't play on screen

you can try changing your overlay settings. works with some formats. or you could use the projector as main display (toggle through fn+LCD/CRT)

Connecting to printer via Bluetooth but driver is missing

using the bluetooth software on your computer, do not tell the computer you are looking for a bluetooth printer, instead, use search for all devices, then the printer will show-up and select it.

printing via bluetooth does not require a driver (it's just like printing from your cellphone)

I cannot get the software to work for my 820 on my new vista. Any suggestions

If you read the link, you will see vista already have a driver built in http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supAdvice.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&noteoid=86150&type=highlights

the statement below was cut from the Epson website -

Drivers are included with Windows Vista. Just connect your Epson product to your computer and follow the on-screen instructions that Windows Vista displays to guide you through driver installation.
