Why wont the power come on? While the red stand by light is on.

well mixing old AVR with newer TV (non told) or the reverse
does that,!
early AVR (mines packed in box attic) has no digital ports
only has RCA analog and no hdmi ports. (retired it ,just like me)
see there, that is progress. (1/2 joking)
just looked at 3770 is all analog a sea of white/red/yellow RCA jacks on the rear.. OLD tech.
no TV told but the the best TVs like LG and SAMSUNGS have both.
analog and HDMI digital jacks.
mine does. LG55xxxxxx
there are only 3 choices
new AVR, (best choice with a future)
buy older TV (hah)
buy LG with both on the rear.

It sounds like the unit is getting power but is going into standby mode due to an internal fault. Sadly, newer receivers these days are not designed to be repaired but replaced!

Power the unit off , Disconnect all the speakers ,power the unit back on and check to see if you get the same message, if so one or all of your speakers could be bad. This message appears when there is too much load on the output IC's,generally causes shutdown. Also try blowing the system out with canned air, And removing anything that prevents the unit from getting enough ventilation.

If you still need this manual, I am think I still have mine.

Most often it will require an output IC, but I have seen it be a bad ground or a transistor in the protect circuit.

Read the owners manual for setting up opt 1 and opt 2.
