The cause can be a very great problem if all capacitors are must replaced , because they can be deformed by extreme heat build up a clogged airiation bad working fan or fine dust filter. then it must be a new board The place where a projection television is set that can have blocked the airflow.

Hi, can you tell me what you see on the screen? It could be a bad cable. Are you using an HDMI cable or the color cables (RCA cables)?

Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/laura_08254539050d64db

I see. If the screen does come on, can you try changing the TV input on your TV remote. look for Source or TV Video and and change to another looking for the correct input to receive cable tv.

How can i tell if my dmd board or the chip on my samsung dlp hls-6187w has gone bad

Your problem is not the DMD nor the IC. Try part number bp96-01579a for color wheel. You need to use caution when replacing. The part and flat cable are delicate. Watch a you tube video to get an idea what needs to be done.

Installed dmd chip for a mitsubishi wd-60c9 DLP and got the 66 error code instead of fixing the white dot issue

Hello. I have done a lot of DMD chip replacements. I don't have access to the service manual at the moment, but the only thing that could cause an error code is to leave something disconnected. Did you check the color wheel connections on the lens side of the DMD board? The flat cable and the power connector might cause that error code. Good luck!

How to clean mirror and optics mitsubishi 73 dlp

You have to remove the lower panel on the back of your tv, then remove the light engine. Unhook the wires attached to the DMD board. Remove the DMD board. Remove the heat cink from the DMD board. remove the optical lens but don't touch the lens. There is a video on shopjimmy.com that shows the entire procedure. Takes 2 hours. The optical lens can be cleaned with an eyeglass cloth, same for the DLP chip lens. no wet solutions on lenses. Remove dust from other internal parts with compressed air in a can. Your picture will be clean and clear. Wear latex gloves and make sure you are grounded to prevent static electricity.

White death DLP TV

White dots on your RPTV television are the result of the DLP chip being worn out. You can replace it very easily by buying a new DLP chip for just under $190 and installing the new chip. There is a very good forum over at fixyourDLP that offers tutorials for replacing the DLP.

60 inch mitsubishi comes on no picture only sound and then it will turn off by its self

Most mornons seem to think that your TV is a traditional crt projection when in fact it is a DLP projection set and does not have convergence chips or CRTs. Instead, your set has a DMD chip and a projector lamp that passes light through the light engine where a color wheel is and the DMD chip itself. Often times DLP TVs cycle on and off again when the lamp is starting to go out. Mitsubishi is well known for this. However, it can also be a symptom of the color wheel going bad as well or simply updating the software by downloading it from http://support.mitsubishi-tv.com/
Good luck and rate me when you can.

Everything that is supposed to be black is showing

Hi,It sounds like a problem with the color wheel or DMD board. The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms. The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will hear ,humming, buzzing, high pitch noises ,you might also experiment color distortion ,black and white picture. This is how the DMD works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Here's a video that will help you find where the DMd chip is located : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jr_9A5Xd2Q Have a blessed one!
