How can I adjust focus?

I used the focus wheel on the projector which didn't correct the problem. I checked the Menu for an auto-focus option and didn't see one.

Turn the grey ring around the lens (where the light comes from) until the image is sharp.

Hi, I've worked on quite a few NEC VT595s & found there is a problem with very small screws coming loose below the zoom adjustment ring. The only way to fix it is to dismantle the unit & replace the screws or to replace the zoom/focus part off a parts projector.
I did notice that if I move the lens up & down by hand I can feel it's loose & can get it to focus by holding the lens so it moves upwards & then adjust the focus. Doesn't always work but play with it & see, it's a lot cheaper than replacing the part.

Infocus 3916 Projector goes in and out of focus. It is a little less than 2 years old. Any suggestions for a solution?

Many of these projectors have a manual focus, and an auto focus. Make sure the auto focus is turned off in the menu options.
Then make sure the manual focus is not moving on it's own from vibration of the cooling fan. You can check this by manually focusing the projector, then taking a marker and marking a line on the focus wheels. If the projector goes out of focus, check the line you made and see if it has moved, if so. Your projector is going out of focus from vibration of the cooling fan, or the surrounding environment.
If your projector is mounted to the ceiling you can add a couple of rubber washers between the projector and the mounting bracket to cut down on vibration.
If your projector is sitting on a desk / table / ground, you can use foam padding to keep it from vibrating.

another solutions would be to temporarily tape the adjusting knobs while the projector is in use.
If your projector has a protective cap that is put on the lens when not in use, this will also push the lens out of focus, and will need to be re-adjusted each use.

Kodak carousel 760h projector

The auto-focus system in Kodak slide projectors is really an auto-measurement system: One set manually, the system is supposed to maintain that distance on all subsequent slides. Correct orientation of the slides is that they are all placed in the slide tray in the SAME direction (the matte side of the transparency facing toward the screen). The measurement is from the FRONT of the slide transparency to the BACK of the projection lens. REPAIR calibration of the system requires 2 special tools: a RANGE SLIDE and a TARGET SLIDE. These tool slides and the calibration procedure SHOULD be available from: www.micro-tools.com They purchased all remaining repair parts from Kodak when Kodak stopped supporting slide projectors. Good Luck !! Jim

Kodak 5200 focus slide not working

The auto-focus system requires adjustment / set-up with special tools if the auto-focus no longer functions correctly. Before ordering the tools from: www.micro-tools.com
check a couple of things:
1. Is the "Auto-Focus on-off Switch" in the "ON" position?
2. Put a slide that is as dark as possible in the slide gate. Power on, lamp on. Look down into the gate, on the front side of the slide. You should see a "S"-shaped light near the center of the slide.
If you have validated both of the conditions above, then I would contact my friends at micro-tools for the special tools. They should be able to provide you with adjustment instructions.
Good Luck !! Jim

Sharp XR1S It projects the image on screen, use to show the correct color. last time the image was projected but in pink hues. is this an adjustment issue or is the lamp going or gone?

hi,
first of all check the tint setting on your projectors picture menu.
if not get the correct color then, your projector is a dlp projector that means it have a color wheel in side. if the synchronization of color wheel is not correct this problem can occur. there is a sensor for couting the rpm of color wheel. also have a black mark on the color wheels rotating portion. the sensor scene this black mark for making count. if there is any dust in that portion it will make difficult to the sensor making the counts. you have to remove the color wheel to clean the same.
i have added a video how to clean the color wheel . not the same projector.
ok

Hi,
I'm afraid, no remote option available to focus image of this projector and has to do manually. Check projector Menu and select Test Pattern for optimum focus and it would be one time job if projector and screen distance has not been changed.

I'm not sure about the advice regarding "color management" as it has nothing to do with focus.

User manual link is also broken and take you no where.

Sahara s2107 lcd projector double letters

When you have no inputs into the projector let it enter standby mode, then press down, then up, left, then right. This will take you into the service menu. Once in the menu find the adjust option , scroll down to the 3rd line 2111-16 (POS_CNT2) and change that.
