Hi Bernadette,

Can I please get the Model Numbers of your television and sound bar?

Generally your subwoofer can hook directly to your TV using the included White/Red cable and hooking it into your television.
On the back panel (or it could be on the side) you should see an option for Audio Output. In rare cases there are HDMI passthroughs but these are generally for high end systems.

Another possibility is using an Auxiliary Cable which is similar to a headphone jack (3.5mm) on both ends. You may only need to hook this into your device and usually televisions only have Audio Output with this connection.

If you have any further questions feel free to message me.

I've included a links to Amazon in case you need to order the cables which are super cheap, or you may pick them up at a local retail store such as Wal-Mart or Target.

Hope this helps!

K1ha25ha0001 this one is panasonic surround system cable i want it to connect to tv

Where there any other cables? That does not look like a standard connector for TVs. Could that be the cable to connect the surround sound sections together, sound bar to the sub woofer and so on. Most TVs and sound bars will use Scart, Jack, HDMI or Optical leads to connect to each other. Most new systems will have either HDMi, Optical or both.

Can the vizio sub woofer be connected to a phone without sound bar

I would have thought that without the other speakers all you would get is just a lot of bass, the phones own speakers would not really be a match for the sub. Assuming the phone has a sub-woofer socket!

Samsung sub woofer # ps-wx810 will not connect to sound bar # ht-x810

Smash away. I don't think you can connect a wireless piece to a sound bar. This may be out of my wheelhouse, but I don't think so.

I have a Fisher RS-909 Surrond Sound amplifier. It has no "sub out" jack. I had the sub-woofer working in the past by wiring it as shown in the manual. The problem is that the system was in...

Alright i had a chance to look over things, this is how you are going to hook up the sub. first we'll be connecting the surround sound unit to the sub woofer.
surround sound unit sub woofer
left front: positive (+) <-----to------------->(+) left speaker level in
negative ( - )<- - -to- - - - - - ->( - ) left speaker level in

right front: positive (+) <-----to------------->(+) right speaker level in
negative ( - )<- - -to- - - - - - >( - ) right speaker level in

now that the surround sound unit is connected to the sub woofer you will need to connect the front surround sound speakers to the sub woofer.
sub woofer front surround sound speaker
left speaker level out (+)<-----to--------> (+) left front speaker
left speaker level out( - ) <- - - to- - - - ->( - ) left front speaker

right speaker level out (+)<-----to--------> (+) right front speaker
right speaker level out( - ) <- - - to- - - ->( - ) right front speaker

Alright now that the wires are all over the place and plugged in
turn everything on and see how it sounds. let me know if everything is working as it should. if you need help with anything else or if something does not seem right please feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone

Are audio boards still avaiable for toshiba 30hf84

I have a Panasonic with a defective audio output, and found a cheap alternative to an impossible to repair problem.

Mine still had audio if I connected headphones to it, but the speakers would get nothing. I found that a decent set of computer speakers (with sub woofer) worked great, and I could move the speakers to provide awesome stereo. Sub woofer is behind the TV.

I did a quick look and did not see an audio specific board available. Likely, it's part of the main board and not cheap to replace.

I hope you can use my fix. It's actually a better sound now than original.

YAMAHA AV receiver RX-V861 I have the message 'Vol-fix' appearing on Zone 2 and no sound. This was working fine until then

Setting the RX-V861 remote control to operate Zone 2:
  1. Using a ballpoint pen or similar object and press the [CODE SET] button RX-V861 remote control. The[TRANSMIT INDICATOR]on the remote should flash twice.
  2. Using the [NUMERICAL KEY PAD] on the remote and key in 9992, the [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] should flash.
Assigning the receivers internal amp for Zone 2:
  1. Set the remote control selector to [AMP]. (Located to the right of the volume buttons on the Remote.).
  2. Press the [SET MENU]button on the remote control.
  3. Arrow down to Manual Setup and press the Enter button on the remote control.
  4. Arrow to the [SOUND MENU] option and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
  5. Arrow to Speaker Set and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
  6. Arrow to the EXTRA SP ASSIGN and select ZONE2
  7. Press the [RETURN] button on the remote control to exit out and return to the Manual Setup.
NOTES: There is an option for setting the Maximum Volume and Initial Volume in the Zone Set menu.
  • Max Volume: This is an optional feature but isrecommended to prevent the accidental change in volume levels thatcould damage the speakers and receiver.
  • Initial Volume: This is also a great feature that would seamlessly start the volume level for the second or third zone at the desired level.
We do not recommend using any Speaker Selector boxes to enable more than the recommended number of speakers per terminal.
Controlling Zone 2 using the RX-V861 remote control:
  1. If the Main Zone on the receiver is on, press the [POWER BUTTON]down and while holding that button down press the [PHONO]/[**] button on the remote. The [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] will light up.
  2. You will not be able to use the following buttons on the remote: (Pressing any other button will cause the remote to exit Zone 2 mode. [POWER], [STANDBY], [VOLUME], [MUTE] and the [INPUT SELECTOR] buttons [DVD], [CD], etc.)
