How do you replace the door switch for the door in the microwave oven?

Take the cover off, the switches should be pretty easy to replace. In the several I've done, they just snap out, unplug, and then snap back in.

More than likely the ignition switch is bad, however you seem to think that a wire is wrong. Has any work been done on the vehicle just before this sympton appeared? Has the vehicle been in an accident? Has anything been done that could have cut a wire? Is this vehicle very very old? Normally wires don't go bad. However switches, relays, fuses, and fuse links do go bad. In some cases wiring harnesses connect through a connector ( a male and female connection). If these connectors are subject to heat, clold, and moisture or high current the connection can be lost as if a wire had been cut. Happy hunting.

I cant get both switches to work properly one minute it turns the light on the next they done work. is the red wire suppose to hook up to the black screw

The key to three-way switches is the dark screw.
And different brands of switches put dark screw on different side of switch.

So, lets get out of this mess with a bit of testing.
You have two switches with 3 wires on each switch for a total of 6 wires.
Take out both switches and separate wires for testing.

Turn on power and test each wire to bare copper wire.
One and only one wire will test Hot.
The hot wire goes to dark screw on switch1.
The other two wires in that box go to either screw on switch1.
One switch done, one switch to go.

Move switch1 lever to down position.
Turn on power and test 3 remaining wires.
One wire will test hot. Mark this wire.
Move switch1 to up position, and test 3 remaining wires again.
A second wire will test hot. Mark this wire.
The 2 marked wires attach to either brass screw on switch2.
The third wire attaches to dark screw.
Both switches done.

Go to this web site. Be sure to have the serial and model numbers. You can request a wiring diagram from the tech line. This is most likely your best place to start. True uses a variety of different devices so I would do this first.
Let me know if I can be of more help after you get diagram.

Hi, I have a general electric model number 5kc182ag201d motor that I want to change from 110 to 220 volts. wiring diagram lost but the wires still have the numbers on them. Also I want to change the...

This can only be done if the motor has the function to be switched. But as for reversing the rotation it is very complex, if you have starting capacitors on top of the motor then it would be required to change the wiring at the diodes and wire the starting capacitors opposite of their present configuration. This is really something for an electrical motor rewinder to address as it is over the heads of most folks. It can be done if you had the wiring schematics and the motor has the features built in for this. [email protected]
