A very likely cause of this is an inlet solenoid water valve inside of the machine is leaking. The risk is if left unattended the water will over fill and end up on the floor. Secure the inlet valves where the hoses connect to the wall. Make sure that the valves are closed.

This repair requires an experienced technician to replace. The parts are readily available. To use the machine supervision of the wash process is required. The solenoid vales in the machine can not be trusted and you should assume that they may fail allowing water to overfill at an increased rate.

At this point when ever the machine is not in use the vales need to be closed. If the solenoid valve has leaked even once it can not be trusted.

I load washer it starts the wash cycle it goes through wash cycle fine drains water but does not collect water for rinse cycle it just idles. So I turn knob to spin and it spins until done.
If it doesn't fill for the rinse, I would say that the cold inlet valve has failed. Check that the cold tap is turned on and check when the machine fills for the wash cycle and see if it is taking hot or cold water. You will probably find that it is filling only with hot water. A local spares store should have the valve you need.

Your machine needs to go to dealer to rectify the problem. Your machine sensors are telling the machine that the needle bar is not idle while winding the bobbin and the flashing lights is a warning message. Nothing serious and your dealer should be able to fix it in 30 minutes. You need to remove the covers and hand wheel, so best to leave it to the experts

The black dust is from the motor coupler. It is normal to have some under the unit. If it stops completly and you chaged the switch check the lid adjustment if the lid is loose it might not make the switch all the time.

WHirlpool Duet Washer
Swede, you need to replace the water inlet valve. Part number 8181694. This is an easy fix. Just remove the 3 screws that are in back holding the top on. Slide the top back and you will see the valve. Couple of screws and a clamp and it will come right off. Catriver..post back.
