One solution might be to get a fatter o-ring.
I am not sure where you live, to recommend a source, but they do come in different thicknesses.
Another thing I have done is to buy a silicone lubricant to help that, not to seal it, but to take the stress off the o--ring.
The silicone might also help the plastic threads of the filter.
God bless your efforts.

Central air conditioner

first you will have to find out where the leak is. a lot of times it can leak where the high and low pressure lines connect to the back of the compressor. the rubber o-rings often fail. replace the o-rings if that is where your leak is. and always grease the o-rings when installing the new ones.

How to repair disc-type faucets

DISC-TYPE FAUCETS

  • Disc faucets may have one or two handles. The water is controlled by openings in the two discs. When the discs are rotated to align, the water flows; when the discs are misaligned, the water shuts off. If the discs wear, the worn discs cause the faucet to leak. Simply turning the handles harder will not stop the leak.

  • To repair a leak in a two-handle disc faucet, turn off the water and remove the handle on the side that's leaking.

  • Use pliers to pull the disc assembly out of the faucet.

  • Beneath the disc unit is the seat assembly, or seal. Replacing this special O-ring may stop the leak.

  • You may need to install a whole new disc assembly for faucets that have been used over a long period of time. In this case, all moving parts of the faucet will have been replaced and should last as long as the original discs did. The parts of some disc units snap apart into a separate bonnet assembly and bottom cap.

  • To repair a leaking single-handle disc, turn off both the hot and cold water and remove the handle to expose the disc assembly. Take out the screws to lift the assembly out of the faucet.

  • You'll notice that beneath the disc unit are three O-ring seals. Though unlikely, water could be leaking between the unit and one of these seals. In this case, you may be able to stop the leak by cleaning the disc assembly and faucet body and installing a new set of seals. If that doesn't work, the entire disc unit must be replaced. This will renew all moving parts.

  • Replacing the unit is fairly simple. Place the three O-rings into their recesses in the bottom of the disc unit. Then install the unit and tighten the screws. Finally, replace the handle–and you're done!

I have changed the o ring three time and I cant get it to stop leaking. Two new o rings installed....still leaks. large o ring sx200z7

Had problems with these types before also. As the filter ages it warps and thats a problem lol.
You said you cleaned the recesses Im hoping top and bottom and lubricated the recesses IN addition to the o-ring, don't hold back on that lube either. And lastly although it sounds odd, dont over-tighten the nuts, tighten them slightly over hand tight turn the pump on for a bit leaking everywher tighten everywhere, leaking in one spot, tighten only that one spot a little.
Putting on all that lube doesnt do too good when it spits it out from pressure.
Also pics next time, and good luck!

Exhaust flange

The ring is too keep the pipe from damaging the cylinder.
The o-ring on the pipe is what seals it from leaking.

What causes excessive oil usage in B&S engine?

The piston rings are going bad, or you have a leak some where.

Look for leaks by washing down the unit so you can see where the oil is coming from.
It may only leak when running, so you may have to run it until it warms up and then look for the leak. Most of the time i notice the dipstick tube o-ring is bad at the bottom of the tube. Replace the o-ring to stop that leak.

If its the piston rings, then your motor probably smokes while its running or when you really work the motor such as mowing thick high grass.
You spark plug will be oily and indicate to you that the rings are allowing oil to pass by.
To fix that, you have to freshen up the top end of the motor, with new rings and possibly new piston if the cylinder needs bored.

Check for leaks first, then pull the spark plug and see if its oily.

Oster 6700 Gasket O-ring leaks

Gasket is not the problem.
Square shaft that is pressed into the turning gear is not tight and allows leaking through the connection.
Only repair is to replace the assembly with the gear drive, blades, etc. and this will take care of the leak. The "O" ring gasket is fine and holds the liquids. However the leak is around the center of the shaft that goes through the bottom.

Took tank off and reinstalled 9 times - put new gaskets and rings in - but it leaks. Tank also wiggles a bit.

Go to the hardware store and get a tube of plumber's grease. Then grease up the gaskets and the rubber ring. Snug everything down and if it leaks snug it down a bit more
