Re: can't use my drive

Some schools do not allow software to be installed on their computers so the U3 system will not work. You can turn off the U3 capability and just use it as a regular flashdrive.

Re: can't use my drive

You might want to try one of two options:

Option A:
1. Plug it in.
2. My Computer > select Removable Disk (if this doesn't work chose option B)

I'm pretty sure that the Cruzer Micro has a software that needs to be installed on the computer to be able to access files.

Option B:
1. Plug it in.
2. My Computer > Open U3 System (this is the application installer for the flash drive.
3. after installing there should be a little icon on the bottom right of the screen thats orange and white click on it and it will pull up an interactive menu for your flash drive.

that should solve your problem.

Should children be exposed to technology at all? Many schools have implemented learning through technology techniques. Wonuld not this give them a chance to misuse technology?

Learning becomes more effective with the help of technology. But it is not safe to leave the children unchecked when they have free access to technology. So parents and teachers should make sure that they are in strict supervision while using technology. Schools should go an extra mile in making this happen. I need a password for my Maxell flash drive

If you've got a generic flash drive, you'll need to download a tool to make this happen. Something like TrueCrypt would be ideal, as it can be installed to autorun on the flash drive upon placing it into a computer, and doesn't require admin privileges. Plus, it's free and open source.

My sandisk u3 2gb micro cruzer doenst work at school but it works at home. why?

The school computers may least require foreign devices to be introduced either that may conpromise educational materials or damage computer structures. Usually the school computr structures least require introducing resources from elsewhere to achiev experices. Enquire from the school autorities about the measn to achieving productivy with the resources already established or make mention of materials that contribute toward achieving success. An alternative arrangement is possible to make possible accessing the USB device that may contain school material like assigment made at home. The situations where devices are impeded due to compartibility may involve computer structures. For example, sundisk USB are incompartible with computers. USB disks usually have varing compartibilities also know as versitilty. The more versitle device USBs are capable of several functions. Ocne in retail enquire about the extensive feature availble prior to acquring disk media. Usualy available are data material mediums or versatile resource management disk devices. I am currently on a school computer. My SanDisk Cruzer 8gb would not run. I recently added a password on it and it has worked before. The U3 system would not auto-run and I have tried running it manually...

> currently on a school policy.

The school's Computer Systems Administrator may have installed a "Group Policy" setting that tells Windows to *NOT* allow USB-devices (iPod, iPad, flash-drives, external disk-drives) to be allowed to be used. It's a good way of preventing computer-viruses from getting onto the school's computers.

If your SanDisk works correctly on your own computer, then use your own computer.

Facebook not working

> Facebook not working.

Works for me, but I am *NOT* using a computer at a school, nor a computer at my place of employment. Some school/companies deliberately *BLOCK* access to Facebook, because their computer network would otherwise be overloaded, and their students/employees would spend all day viewing such TIME-WASTING web-sites.
