SOURCE: CLOG DRAIN FOR REFRIGERATOR
Hi, thanks for the question. these new ,or older fridges have the drain tube, between the walls of the fridge , and what happens is the water in that drain tube freezes. so the water in the defrost cycle ,cant go down to the drain pan. to repair fridge must be turned off. for at least 24 hrs. insert a small plastic tube, from the drain tray up to the freezer, an blow up the tube to clear. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer thanks..

Hello,
You may be having a freon issue. Read some more info about this here. I type the longer version on my site. There are also factory service manuals to that may be helpful.

Have one similar and found out the compressor goes out on them about a year and half after purchase. You can buy another compressor but the likely hood of it going out again is likely. Sorry but we bought bad fridges. Never again will I buy a Fridgidaire.
Hi L Martin - For this particular model FEX831CS0, the heating element part number is 131475320. The part may be purchase directly from the manufacturer or through a part distributor in your area.
Hi Michael Gallagher - I found the manual on the Frigidaire website which it is the sister company of Electrolux. Here is the manufacturer link and hope you find all the information that you need. I will recommend taking off the last letter of the model number so you can pull up the information.
