I have had mine for over 3 years and this just started happening. I bought a new battery and it seemed to fix the problem for about a week but is doing it again. It seems like it won't fully charge now like it formerly did!
Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.
Hi, That sounds like an issue with the memory card. Yes you will lose all current photos on it when you format the memory card. It's also safe to leave the battery in the camera as DSLRs don't drain power when the camera isn't in use.
Check if your using the recomended batteries for this camera Easyshare C613. The batteries are 2AA Ni-MH batteries, 2 AA Lithium batteries or 2 AA Alkaline batteries. If your use this kind of batteries and they are new out from the box try this steps. 1. Remove the memory card and the battery on the camera 2. Clean the both battery contacts with clean dry cloth 3. Put the battery back in the camera in correctly 4. Set the camera in Auto "it's the camera icon on the dial of the camera." 5. Turn it on
*If it turns ON take photos and review them check if it will stay on

you have to use only very good quality batteries ...I have a philips..and if I do not put alcaline quality bateries in it ..it do not even power up ....and even with this expensive ones it eats 'em like snacks... by the way ...keep the batteries inside only when you shoot cause all this new cameras with display and so ...consumes the batteries even when they are powered off .. my advise is to buy some accumulators the kind you charge on the home power plug.....so in this way .. you will always have strong power into them ..and the cost its worthily ..
