Do you mean it cranks, but doesn't 'fire' or start?

Your engine only needs three things

1. Clean fuel and supplied to the engine. yours is injected, so it needs fuel pump pressure.

2. You need Compression. You can measure that with a gauge.

3. A spark at the right time.

Your C50 uses a centrifugal clutch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centrifugal_clutch Which basically means the faster it rotates the harder it grips. The whining you're hearing might be normal (if it's been there the whole time) or it might indicate it's time for a little service.

I found FPRs for boulevard c50 on ebay for $ 50+ #20 for shipping from poland. You have to wait but it beats having to pay $500 for the who unit.

The FI light refers to F uel I njection. The sensors on the fuel injection system have detected a problem. It could be anything from a dirty air filter to fuel mapping errors. You need to take the bike to a dealer and have them hook up a code reader. The reader will tell what problem has been detected. That error code means that the you have a problem with the fuser unit. You are going to have to replace the upper fuser roller. The fuser roller and the heating unit is all one unit and is known for arching out. Good Luck in finding one.

It would seem that Dell has a on-going issue with this printer and the cartridge. Try these steps and if it still gives this error you will have to contact Dell.
1. Reseat the Ink Cartridges. 2. Unplug the printer from the back, clean the contacts and the put back the connection.
3. Verify whether the Ink Cartridges are DELL Branded.
4. Try Cartridges Individually.
