Little Tikes Tumble Train. But now it only turns on, run for about 5 or 6 sec, then shut off. Put new batteries in but still does it whether on track or off. I hate to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

This says it is only supposed to run for 30 seconds, so it must have some sort of timer, perhaps in the chimney stack. The other possibility is that the electric motor needs cleaning and lubricating. If you have a Model Shop near you, they normally do repairs or know someone that does. It is a $90 toy so worth repairing!

START/STOP BUTTON With fingers away from track, press top of smoke stack to start and stop train. (Train will move for 30 seconds then stop. Press smoke stack to start train again.)

I Have An Old Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m and i don't have the remote

It sounds like you're looking for a replacement remote control for your Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m. Unfortunately, since your stack is an old model, it might be difficult to find a new remote control for it.
Here are a few options you can consider:
  1. Check with Aiwa directly. Contact Aiwa's customer service and inquire about the availability of a replacement remote control. They may still have some stock of the original remote, or they may be able to provide you with information on where you can purchase one.
  2. Check with electronics repair shops. Some repair shops may have the original remote control, or they may be able to repair or replace the remote control you have.
  3. Check online marketplaces. Check online marketplaces such as eBay or Amazon for used or refurbished remote controls for your Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m. Keep in mind that buying a used remote control may not be guaranteed to work properly, so be sure to research the seller's ratings and reviews before making a purchase.
  4. Invest in a Universal Remote Control. You can purchase a universal remote control that can be programmed to work with your Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m. These types of remotes are widely available and can be found at many electronic stores or online.
  5. Consult the user manual or the technical specifications of your Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m. You might be able to find information about the remote control that was originally used with the stack. With this information, you may be able to find an appropriate replacement remote control.
It's important to keep in mind that some of these options may not be an exact match for your Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m, and may not have all the functions of the original remote control.
It's also important to check the Aiwa Stack MX-Z9300m's warranty status and the manufacturer's instructions to ensure that the repair or replacement will not void the warranty.

Broken drain pipe under washer tub

Well,i wouldn't solder the old pipe back on.You could replace the pipe or replace the tub entirely. But you're looking at about the same price to repair an old machine for the price of buying a new one.techs come at about $50 per hour and you're looking at about an 8 hour day to repair it.a new machine should run you about $ 400 to $ 500.

I bought a new brighton toy christmas train set at a garage sale. the jert told me it worked. the music will play and the engine head light comes on but the engine will not run. are there replacement...

If says 187 on the box, check out this solution:
This train set is very particular and getting it to work each Christmas is a family tradition in frustration. First you must make sure that all the pieces of track are connected properly and that the track is perfectly symmetrical and flat. We double-check the battery positions every year and find one in wrong. There are + and - signs, but they're hard to see; use a flashlight. There is a black toggle switch below and behind the red stack that toggles forward (to make the train go forward) and backwards (reverse); straight out perpendicular to the train is the "stop" position. Also, you have to start at a stop/switch station. One other note: behind the red stack, there is a smaller black stack. If you turn this, you can make smoke come out of the stack. I think I remember someone suggesting a drop of cooking oil. Hope this helps!!! Hope you get it set up for Christmas!!!

Washer won't drain -- clean the pump

First I would try to flush the pump, if the tub is still full of water. To flush the pump, take a garden hose sprayer and fit it tight into the drain hose. Give it a short shot of water, then stick the drain hose back into the drain. Put the washer on spin and see if any water comes out. You may have to do this more than once to clear the pump. If that does not work, siphon the water out of the washer and disconnect the hose from the pump to the drum. Clear the hose the best you can, pour a little water into the drum to check it. Check the pump too, take it apart if you have to.
