I have had a look but unable to find out any instructions for it, I presume it belongs to some Samsung device which instructions would be in that for it.
My thought is no on working a Phillips item there are thousands of remote codes and it possibly will only work with Samsung devices as a package set.

Not sure I can help. You might do well to call Samsung 800-SAMSUNG. But I have the codes that should work if you were hooking the Samsung to a Philips set top box or cable box. Perhaps they are the same? (And how lucky are you that you landed this jewel! I love this unit!
alot of universal remotes wont work with samsung. But you can get an origional samsung remote or the samsung universal remote that will work your tv at this link. They are actually less exspensive than most generic remotes and have free shipping. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
