20 Most Recent Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD Recorder/VCR Questions & Answers

Hello

1.The VHS/DVD player must have recording capabilities.

2 Connect both players to a television so that you can make sure you are recording the appropriate content. You can also monitor the speed at which the VHS is copying to DVD.

3. Place the VHS in the VHS player and the blank DVD in the DVD recorder. You will need to use your remote and go through the menu options to choose the correct format for recording. The formats should be clearly labeled and outlined in your instruction manual. Choose the option that will read something like "VHS to DVD." You may also have to choose recording speed, which varies per blank DVD that you purchase. Every player is different, and every menu will vary slightly. If you have questions, refer to you individual manual.

4. Select the option that works best for you and hit "Play" on the VHS player and "Record" on the DVD recorder. To play the finished DVD, you will select the playback option.
THANK YOU

DVD/VCR will take inputs of either component BGR RW or composite YWR and will provide either composite or HDMI output. My suggestion is to take the "best output" from the cable box you can and use the HDMI output to your HDTV. This will take the best your cable will offer and give your TV the best signal to use.
Cable box ------ to DVD/VCR ------ to HDTV.

Go into menu go to display and closed captioning is a option click on it and it will allow you to turn it off. Beware some DVDs have closed captioning options on the disc, just go into set up on the disc and it will give options.

Not sure I can help. You might do well to call Samsung 800-SAMSUNG. But I have the codes that should work if you were hooking the Samsung to a Philips set top box or cable box. Perhaps they are the same? (And how lucky are you that you landed this jewel! I love this unit!

The suggestion provided by Orion523 might work. Have you tried not finalizing it and seeing if it will then work in other devices? I assume you mean you are using DVD+RW disks. Good luck.

Tape might be damaged due to age and letting light through to the sensor. Only thing i can think to try is to wind the tape on manually a foot or so and try again.Other than that your tape is too damaged.
Hope this helps.
