Blue shadow or ghosting on screen

I have a rear projection hitachi tv with a blue shadow or ghost like image on the screen. the image is slightly to the right of the true image and is bright blue.any suggestions on how to fix

    I bought mine in Feb of 2002 and have had the same problem for three months now. Who can fix this??? What will it cost??

    Hitachi 43" (43UWX10B) rear projection tv-same problem blue dipping on screen, magic focus will not fix. Convergence kit? What number? Can I replace easily myself? If not what can I expect to pay for service person to do?

    I have a green tone to the TV as well as a blue line on certain channels. Tried Magic focus, didn't work. Help.........

Colors on the screen are messed up with ghost HITACHI
Its not clear what kind of tv you have but it appears to be older rear projection tv with three picture tube. This problem does occur due to the convergence board going bad. Needs professional help to repair unless you know a lot about soldering ICs. Check out at www.fixurtvs.com for more answers on this problem, repairs and costs.

Tv duplicate image
your guns are off and need to be adjusted. your 3 guns (red, green and blue) are off and that would explain the funny colors and shadows. Have a tv tech come out and have a look, they can fix it for a reasonable price.

Check you cable box compared to another tv.  The pisture may need adjusting take off front panle and use the screws to adjust pic  it could get better of worst be carefull

Perfect! That is typically called "Ghosting" where there is a faint image shadow behind the image on your screen. I'm glad you were able to get it fixed!

I have the same problem and now there is convergence problem with the entire screen, double images and ghosting ...i was told that some IC's are burned our ...etc..i'm waiting to see if they sell the entire board since the TV's are 10 years old... will let U know what i get as a response.
