Windows Vista Computer no longer detects Canon PowerShot A590IS Camera.

You may have to reinstall the Canon software suite that came with the camera. If you don't have it, it should be available online from Canon.

I have a camera Canon A590is, that is not being recognize by the laptop. In the device manager the "Canon Digital Camera" has a yellow marker. After trying to reinstall the driver, a error message "Cannot...

You didn't say what operating system you are using in your PC. If you have Windows XP or later follow these instructions. Since you apparently have the driver and software on a CD, unplug the camera from your PC, remove the camera software from the PC, remove the driver using the Device manager, restart the PC, then plug your camera into the USB port. Allow the operating system to find the correct driver when it notifies you of finding a "New Device". Normally that will solve the problem. If it does not, then reload the software.

Switched to MAC - have EOS40D and SX100 - will not download SX100

Yes, you need to install the SX100 driver software as well. I wouldn't overwrite older versions of the Canon software, though, so do a selective install if you can.

I can't upload pictures from my SD850 to XP

I had same problem: ZoomBrowser had been working fine on XP sp2, but today I found it could no longer detect the camera. My guess is some operating system patch caused it to stop working. I finally got it working again by doing the following:

1) Go to http://software.canon-europe.com/ , select Powershot G1 as the product, and get the list of available updates.

2) Download and install the latest version of ZoomBrowser (6.0.1).

3) Download and (re-)install the USB driver ( Canon Digital Camera WIA Driver 3.9.1). It will probably tell you it's already installed, but continue with the install anyway. It will also warn you that the driver isn't certified for XP, but ignore that and continue.

4) Reconnect the camera to the USB port on the computer and put it into upload mode. *Now* a window should pop up with a selection of programs you can launch, including ZoomBrowser. Yay!

Hope this helps.

Canon powershot a560 troubleshooting

this is not a big issue.
after delting your DISK and installing your OS again removes al r programs from your computer. now you must install the camera EOS software in your system again.
this can be done by using the software disk which come with the camera. even if you dont have the disk the software can be donwloaded from canons site itself.
