many latitudes are sold without wifi and/or bluetooth devices built in. Bluetooth device is under the strip just beneath the screen (where power button is) Open the lid on the backside of your computer on the left side (under tge 'A' button If you see just two loose cables and no board then you have no wifi in your laptop. !with missing boards the blue light is still switchable with Fn-F2!
connect your bluetooth adaptor to your computer and let the computer install the necessary drivers for it. when it is successfully installed, you will then be able to use the bluetooth adaptor to browse through a bluetooth network your LG phone when you set your phone's bluetooth visibility to ON
1. TheBTCK06 and the Bluetooth enabled cell phone should be within a distance of 3 feet (1 metre).
2. With the BTCK06 OFF, press the MULTI-FUNCTION Button (The bottom button) for 6 seconds. The Red & Blue LED's will flash alternatley and the speaker will make a long BEEP sound.
3. The Bluetooth cell phone will search for nearby Bluetooth devices. The cell phone will display the BTCK06 in the list of Bluetooth devices. If you are using a "dongle" type Bluetooth adaptor, follow the manufacturer's instructions for that device.
4. Select BTCK06 to add this Bluetooth device into the list of the paired devices.
5. Enter in the PIN Code "0000" and your mobile phone will show that pairing is complete.
6. If Pairing is successful, user will hear a long BEEP and the Blue LED will flash about every 3 seconds.
Have a look to see if your drivers are installed and working correctly.
Go to start-settings---control panel---system---hardware---device manger
Open "network adaptors" and you should see a bluetooth adaptor. Click on the icon to see if the device is working correctly.
Open "ports" and there should be a lot of bluetooth ports shown
If there is no mention of bluetooth, you have lost your drivers and they need to be re-installed.
If the BT is working on your laptop there should be a blue flashing light somewhere..
Ever though there is a switch on this acer to turn on the Bluetooth device, there is not a bluetooth adaptor installed in this computer. You can go to the Acer website and confirm this but I suspect that the bluetooth adaptor was not installed.
It was an optional feature with Acer.
It will be costly to install the device, so I would recommend you buy a USB bluetooth device.There is some options to install some after market bluetooth devices inside of your Acer, but they can sometimes be complicated to install.
