if the power light comes on but the screen stays black, then your TV might be on the wrong input Channel. for example: you switch inputs when you play games or watch dvds vs. watching regular tv. Try to change the input
You replaced power supply and your made sure you plugged everything back into the motherboard snuggly and in it's proper place? If so it might be your motherboard is bad.
Make sure you have the new power supply turned on. Sometimes there's a O/I switch on the back of the power supply. Flip it and try to boot and see what happens. You might have another bad power supply. If so your motherboard might be burning them out.
Try removing the power cord for 30 seconds and press and hold the power button. After 30 seconds put the power cord back in and press the power button to see what happens.
Do your fans work when you press the power button? Do you hear any fans running?
try this: remove your battery and plug directly to the main power w/out battery. second remove thebattery press and hold the power button for ten seconds and put the battery back and power on your laptop.
I don't know if you tried this, but there should be an on off switch on back of your desktop, which is the switch to the power supply. If you haven't tried it yet, check and see if the switch button on back is in the on or off position. If you are not sure, then press the switch in the opposite direction, and then press the power button and see what happens.
remove battery plug in power...see what happens ...nothing happens press and hold power button until you hear response(shut down)press power as usual to boot.if it doesnt work first time try a few times more remember to keep power button pressed to shut down.
