Hello there, I have a 50" Samsung Plasma TV. There is weird horizontal colours at the bottom of the screen. Can this be fixed eazialy? Thanks Jodie.

This type of fault in Plasma TVs are of power supply regulator capacitors. If any one of these DC capacitors, go low in rated value, proper smoothin of DC power does not occur. and black bars across the screen fro top to bottom will be the result. Just check for any capcitors of it power retulator side for bulged out or leaky. You have to open the TV to see whethere there is any of them is damaged. OK.

Possibly could be the Y buffers --if the are next to each other could be a bad connection on a ribbon cable ---you need to call for service

if u r connected to an ant. it is due to poor signals from the ant so get a booster or amplifier for the ant.

Try to replace the YSCAN board. If not fix it, then it's the PDP Panel failure.

it is a myth about how the tv is positioned, if you have audio but no video then it is probably the y-main bopard or the y-scan board, if you replace the y-scan buffer then you have to replace the y-main at the same time, if the tv is in warranty call 1-800-samsung

disconet the ground on the power cord of your tv will fix the problum. or the subwofer power ground .

i have a samsung LCD tv 32 inch tv. when switched on the pic is seen for about one sec then goes off. when i change channels the audio changes but the screen is blank. every time i switch off and on the same thing is repeated there is no display on the screen looks like a back screen light fail . can the problem be sorted out by changing the inverter or the whole LCD panel needs to be changed? pl be free to answer.
