  • boazania Nov 12, 2007

    cool i'll try that

Exactly the same problem with a new HP Pavilion a6228x running MS Vista Home Premium. Setup was easy using the downloaded driver as per instructions (not using the setup CD). But system hangs on blue startup screen if Linksys WUSB300N is plugged in. Unplug it and the system will restart.

Same problem here. The HP vista system is blue screen when booted with WUSB300n adapter. Also, when the computer wakes from sleep the network is not working.

I ripped a CD and am trying to burn it, but the drive keeps ejecting my CD as unacceptable. What do you suggest? I am inserting a Maxell CD-R Music disc.

What type of PC is it, what type OS? Are you formillar with accessing your BIOS?

  • Anonymous Nov 11, 2007

Ensure that in the bios the boot order does not include the USB.

Is the usb adpter a wireless adptr, thumb drive, or other device such as printer? If its not a wireless adpter for internet use and removing it from the bios doesnt fix the problem....try switching to another usb port on the PC. if that doesnt solve it. then either take it to a pc repair service or just leave the usb adpter unpluged till start up is complete

No operating system and when it turns on it says the boot manager is missing

If you have your settings in the bios to boot from your optical drive you should be able to insert your windows 7 disc and choose to boot from it then just follow instructions.

Insert boot disc error on hp pavillion a622n

Boot disc error indicates that your computer is unable find any Operating system to boot up. Go to BIOS settings and figure out if your BIOS detects your hard drive. If so, format your hard drive and install an operating system.

I would love to hear from you in regards to this concern.

When my wusb300n is plugged in to my computer it makes my computer take up to 5 or 6 min to boot. It will sit on the screen where you can go in to setup forever. If I unplug my adapter it immediatly boots....

the reason it does that is because your pc is attempting to boot from usb there is a way to solve that issue without having to disconnect the wusb and here is how...restart your pc as soon as it comes on enter the bios setup by pressing the button it tells you to usally esc or f1 f2 or 10 once you enter the bios setup search for the boot section and disable boot from usb or move it down on the order which should be set to number 1 cd/dvd number 2 hard disk and so on.. then after you have completed this save and exit it then should reboot and have no problems with the wusb

Blue screen

Check booting in other computer, this will show if CD faulty. If not, CD drive may be faulty. If CD not faulty & can boot from USB drive you can copy CD to USB drive and install that way.

Pavillion dv9000 screen is gray, with external monitor connected, laptop will only start in safe mode using vista ultimate

Hi,
Your display drivers could be corrupt.
Boot the machine into safe mode. Right click on Computer and select manage from the sub menu.
When the window pops up select Device Manager.
A device list will populate. When it has look down the list for Display Adapters. Click on the + icon next to Display Adapters to it expands. Right click on the display adapter and select uninstall.

Restart the computer and let it boot in normal mode.
If it boots in normal mode let it detect the Display and install the drivers for it.
I would be a good idea to update the display drivers via the HP support website.

Regards.

File header checksum does not match computed one. ???

You have one or more critical corrupted file/s which prevents the laptop from booting up.
To get the laptop operating again, you need to insert the Windows Vista CD and do a Repair and if this fails you need to install Vista again.

HP psc 2110 all-in-one wont print from internet

I'm assuming you went to the HP site and downloaded the Vista drivers??? Other than that try this:

  1. From Control Panel > printers... uninstall all printers.
  2. Unplug USB cable to printer and re-boot.
  3. Install Software.
  4. Plug USB cable back in.
Hope that fixes Ya...

Wont connect to wireless network

first, I suggest trying a different USB port. remove the adapter and the icon should disappear, so if the usb port is loose or broken that may be why its acting like that. Plug it into a different port and try it. You may have to reinstall the driver for the next usb port depending on your system
