NEW CALCULATOR WONT PRINT KEEP GETTING 0E WHEN YOU TURN PRINT ON

For accounting offices and stores, calculators that produce a printed paper are indispensable. Canon's desktop or commercial printing calculators use ribbon tape, and you'll need to change the ribbon when it is used up. All Canon desktop and commercial printing calculators use the same method for changing the ribbon.

• Turn off the calculator.
• Pull up on the tab on the far side of the printer cover to remove the cover.
• Pinch together the ribbon lock (the arrow shows you the direction to pinch). Lift the ribbon spools off the shafts and discard them.
• Separate the new ribbon spools. Guide the ribbon tape around the four guiding pegs and set the spools on the shafts. The spools should be peg side down.
• Rotate the spools so the peg at the bottom of the spool goes into the hole of the spool holder. Release the ribbon locks.
• Rotate the spools to make the ribbon taut, keeping the ribbon positioned around the guide pegs.
• Replace the printer cover and turn the calculator on.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we can reset the calculator, though that will wipe out the contents of memory.

Any amount of water that reaches the interior circuitry will cause an electronic shortage. Disassemble the back of the calculator and place it on a cotton towel with the open side down, then keep the calculator in a heated area for about 2-3 hours to attempt to dry the water out. Replace the battery and attempt to power-up the device. If you get no power, then it would be relatively cheaper to purchase a new calculator rather than take it to an electronic shop for diagnostic purposes.

There is a small **** right where the paper roll gets installed - it looks like the seam between the top and the bottom of the calculator. The paper feeds from the roll directly into this - maer sure you have a very clean edge to start with - then turn on the print function and push a button until it starts to feed through. Be patient with it but it will work.

HI..if this is a printing calculator and the print mode is turned...if there is a problem with the printer and E for Error will appear. The ribbon or some paper could be jammed in the printer..a key could be stuck down..check your entire keyboard key for sticking.
The calculator wont hurt itself and that is why the E is on. Examine it very carefully and look for something caught in it.
If none of the above you might have to get a pro to look at it.
