SOURCE: samsung adjusting the picture

I started reading the manual with your question in mind, but I found that the instructions for screen controls take up about 40 pages. I'll just put the URL for the owners manual here instead. That way you'll have all the information you should ever need for making adjustments. ;) http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200705/20070515083727984_BN68-01167A-01L02-0331.pdf

SOURCE: Polaroid TLX04011C picture is too big

There is a button on your remote control that controls the TV's zoom level. It is usually labeled WIDE MODE or ZOOM.

You are looking for a picture size, format or screen size button on the remote control to solve the issue. If it connected to a HD cable or satellite box then they also have format or picture size settings.

I have 47 inch haier lcd tv and the screen is enlarged to where you cant see the score of the baseball game. ps i dont have the original remote

You do need the original remote or a good pattern replacement as the button you need is on the original and may be on the pattern replacement
the screen format size control is only controllable with any certainty by a original remote

How do i connect my directv box to my soyo tv #DYLT032D

  • If your DirecTV box supports HDTV then connect it using either an HDMI cable from the box to the TV (located on the back, labeled HDMI 1,2,3,etc.).
  • If the box is not an HDTV box then connect it with a RGB (red, green, blue) composite cable from the box to the TV.
  • If the RGB output is not on the ack of the box then connect using a standard coaxial cable.

[NOTE] In order for the quality of the picture to be HD, use the RGB for digital (Better), or the HDMI for High-def (Best)

The picture on my 42 inch LCD Samsung doesn't fit the screen. I can't see the scores for baseball games. I've tried adjusting the picture, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Check your display size. It sounds to me like you have it set on ZOOM. On your remote there should be a button labeled PICTURE. Scroll through the setting till you see 16x9 and set it to this. Keep in mind that some commercials and programs are not filmed in widescreen so the picture will be in the 4.3 aspect ratio, "square"

Horizonal and vertical off.

My picture is too big for my screen also, I have a 27 inch screen and I can't see the scrolling tickers on the bottom and the baseball score readout on the top. When I turn the tv on, the heads are huge on the top and that finally comes into proportion, but it goes too far. I can't find a horozontal or vertical control in the manual or on the tv menu. What can I do?

Cannot view the full picture

First, you have to tell me how the cable box is connected to the TV, by HDMI or component. If it is connected by HDMI, the cable box settings will override the picture size settings on the TV. It may be as simple as resetting the picture size on the cable box, but I am not familiar with the type of cable boxes that Comcast uses.
