Question about Samsung LN-T4042H 40 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

Samsung adjusting the picture

We recently bought this LCD TV and I messed with the picture setting because my sone was watching baseball and couldn't see the the score and stats listed. Now the picture is way too big and I cannot figure out how to make it fit the screen again. I have tried all the settings! Also does anyone know if you can save the settings? My husband claims the settings keep changing and the picture keeps getting blurry. Thanks!

I started reading the manual with your question in mind, but I found that the instructions for screen controls take up about 40 pages. I'll just put the URL for the owners manual here instead. That way you'll have all the information you should ever need for making adjustments. ;) http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200705/20070515083727984_BN68-01167A-01L02-0331.pdf

My Samsung 23 inch LCD tv works fine for 25 minutes then the screem starts jumping..

There is a Anynet Setting under the input tab. It has to be on the right setting or the picture Jumps after 20-25 minute. Once I adjusted it to the right setting it stopped jumping and it now works Perfect. Would nt have figured it out if I wouldnt have been messing around with it as a last chance deal.

The picture on my 42 inch LCD Samsung doesn't fit the screen. I can't see the scores for baseball games. I've tried adjusting the picture, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Check your display size. It sounds to me like you have it set on ZOOM. On your remote there should be a button labeled PICTURE. Scroll through the setting till you see 16x9 and set it to this. Keep in mind that some commercials and programs are not filmed in widescreen so the picture will be in the 4.3 aspect ratio, "square"
