try resetting to factory default through the menus available from the remote control. The option should be in the general or settings menus. This may clear the fault. Check your antenna/aeria is working and correctly connected. If this produces no remedy it is possible that the sound output of your televisions motherboard has developed a fault or there may be an issue with the speakers or their connections to the motherboard.

wITH THE SYSTEM REMOTE PRESS MENU IF YOU SEE THE MENU THEM GO TO THE VIEO SETTINGS. iF YOU DO NOT SEE THE MENU UNPLUG THE TV DISCONNECT ALL OTHER CONNECTIONS IE, DVD PLAYER, CABLE, DIGITAL ANTENNA. PLUG IN TELEVISION AND PRESS MENU.

some sets will have an option to turn off the speakers (different from mute); this is used when you want your tv to output to a sound system with external speakers. check your menu settings for something which disables tv speakers--that is probably your issue.

Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

It sounds like the TV is not set to play Dolby 5.1 sound. Or if it is it cannot send it from the connections you have. One solution, if the TV has an optical socket and the system has too, to connect it via that. That should ensure Dolby sound is coming out of the TV. However please note not all TV stations transmit Dolby 5.1, even on HD.

I recently had the same problem with my vizeo hdmi port # 1 going bad. Tried everything to fix and called vizeo. There solution for a master reset was turn off tv and unplug from the wall. then hold down the power button for 30 secs and let go. plug the tv back in and hold down the volume down and input select buttons down on side of the tv for 15 secs. release the buttons and turn the tv on after powering down all the components connectd to the tv. If this does not work they told me you need to have it sericed for a bad hdmi input. Hope this info helps anyone out there. It didn't work for me. Its a bummer cause the tv is well taken care of and only 18 months old. Best of luck to all others.
