Why my clarion nz500 won't play my cds and dvds no more?

SOURCE: nz500 will not open

i have encountered same problem. mine was done through removing the negative terminal of the battery for a few minutes. fix it again and problem solved.

use nero vision this will work it does the same with mine

As a first course of action please try this... Remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get the unit back to it's normal operation.

Check if the yellow wire is connected to a 12 volt direct source,because this wire feed the memory back up of the stereo good luck
