NZ500 with Sirius forgets presets

About twice per week, my Clarion NZ500 with the Sirius SCC1 satellite module forgets all of my station presets. However, my HD tuner remembers its radio presets, and my audio settings (bass, trebble, etc.) are all retained. Only my Sirius presets are forgotten or cleared. Anyone have any ideas? If it helps, it is installed in a 2004 Chevy Blazer.

There is a memory keep alive wire that is usually yellow. It should be fused, it has either blown the fuse or had become disconnected.

I am having the exact same problem with my CMD6. The sirius worked fine with my CMD4, but has the same problem with constantly rebooting when I hook it up to the CMD6. Did you find a solution?

Just bought a car and it had hardwired sirius radio already installed. I called and activated it with Sirius radio and tried to get assistance from them on how to get it to work. They gave me instruction...

The "hard wired" version that you speak of apparently only refers to the power supply.Do you have a seperate display for the Sirius unit? Now, you failed to mention the type of radio (factory or aftermarket); so, if you have to use an "empty radio station" then you have an FM modulator. This modulator could wired or wireless. The wired version interrupts the vehicle antenna wire and the station on said modulator is usually preset to either 88.1, 88.3,88.7, or 89.1. There is no need to power this modulator up, it comes on when then Sirius comes on. One way to check for power is to turn on the Sirius unit and tune your radio to an occupied Fm station. Wait a few seconds and listen to the reception. Turn off the Sirius unit, the reception should improve for the occupied station. If it is a wireless FM modulator it also has preset stations that you can change but, extending the wieless antenna will greatly improve your reception of the Sirius stations.

Can not manually go to individual radio stations on the clarion radio.

The only way to really tell what's up is to take it to a car audio shop that sells clarion and have them plug it in to one of their units. This model had a high fail rate. Don't try to send out for repair! it will take forever! You can replace it for 50 from crutchfield. Hope this helps

Setting preset stations

Hi Gil, not sure what you mean by RE-setting presets but I assume your using a dock of some kind, and in that case you simply tune to the station you desire then hold down the preset number you'd like to set it to. It will overwrite the previous setting. hope that helps.
