The automatic ice machine does not make ice. the water dispensor works.

there is a thin bar that has to be down in order for it to make ice, is it in the up position?

HI.not making ice could have many reasons.run through the basics first ok.1-lever down above ice box 2-water turned on 3-water inice tray.should do automatically **** pour some manually if empty.try this firstok?good luck ali

Do you get water at the front dispensor, if present? If not check the refrigerator water filter. If you have an RO system feeding filtered water to the fridge, check it's filter. Also there is a solenoid that lets water into the ice cube maker, have a professional check it to make sure its working correctly. Lastly I have had to replace the entire ice cube maker, sometimes they do fail. Replacements can be found fairly easy on the internet.

A lot of filters ( not all ) do not even access the ice maker . Only the water dispensor . If your water dispensor is working fine , then you need to replace the dual water inlet valve behind the refrig . This is the piece the wall water line connects to . It is called a dual valve because there are 2 coils on the valve . 1 for the ice maker and 1 for the water dispensor .

You have a bad dispensor flap solenoid . Frost due to flap not closing completely and ice will catch in the shoot .

My Jenn-Air refrigerator (JRSD2790) quit making ice, dispensor works, water dispensor works. Do I need to replace the entire

hi thanks for the question i would check the water valve at the back to see if it is ok if you have a volt meter you can check thanks the appliance doc

you have prime the system air out of the water lines this is easy to do
put a glass big enough to cover water dispensor outlet cause its going to project water out at you press and hold button till water starts to run smooth
these fridges will spit water at you when you prime the system at first cause theres air blockage in lines

It depends on where it is freezing. Can you determine where the freezing is? These things don't usually clog. They can develop what is called a vapor lock in the water dispenser behind the meat drawer in the refer. For freezing let me know where it is freezing.
