The page count on these units is a lifetime count and does not get reset. Larger machines like th P4015 have a maintenance count which is reset when the fuser is replaced.

How can I change the copy count on a lexmark xs7170

1. You can change the copy count under the copy settings in your Lexmark device.
2. Power off the printer. Tap and hold the Go and Return buttons at the same time.
3. Turn on the printer and release the buttons. Now the printer prints the Performing Self Test page and modifies the copy count.
4. Go to Diagnostics and check the page count.
5. Tap Return and select the Preview menu. Choose the Reset Maintenance Count option and press Select to set the count to zero. Print a test page and complete the setup.

Enter diagnostic mode:



1. Turn the printer off.
2. Press and hold the Go and Return buttons.
3. Turn the printer on.
4. Release the buttons when Performing Self Test displays on the operator panel.

Once you're in diagnostic mode, go to Printer Setup > Page Count.


To reset the maintenance page count to zero:

1. Select Reset Maintenance Count Configuration menu.
2. Pressing Select resets the maintenance page counter to zero.

Reset Maintenance Count Saved displays momentarily. When the reset operation is complete, the menu returns to the Printer Setup Reset Maintenance Count screen.

Need to reset the page count after changing out the formatter board.

The page counts and serial number on these units cannot be adjusted or overwritten. You are stuck with the zero count if you installed a new formatter, or the page count on the formatter if you installed a used one. Just put a label on the back that says, formatter changed at XXXXX pages.

Reset the usage page on a 4345mfp

The only way to reset the total page count back to zero is from the service mode. Link for service code.
