Look how to repair Most of GE and Hotpoint Refrigerators. Here I replaced Evap Fan Motor, Defrost limit switch and computer board. Very often by looking at computer board u visually can see if its burned out, sometimes from back side of it one of the relay contacts burning out.

No. Look for failed evaporator fan motor or iced up cooling coil (evaporator) due to failure of component in the defrost system.

SOURCE: water dispensor stoppedworking

If the light and ice dispenser on the front panel works and If your fridge is 4 years old or older, the insulation in the freezer door has most likely deteriorated and the water in the tube feeding the water dispenser has probably frozen. Open the freezer door, put a blanket over the food to keep it from defrosting, and use a blow dryer to defrost the door. Blow the hot air on the flat panel inside the door (the backside of the water dispenser). Close the door about every 5 minutes to check to see if the water works. Once the water begins to flow, you have successfully defrosted the ice in the tube. Defrosting the door works for about 12 hours until it freezes again. To solve this problem, I placed a 10" weedeater line up thorugh the dispenser nozzle leaving about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. When the line freezes again, pull out the weedeater line, dispense water to free the ice, and then reinsert the weadeater line. I keep the line in all the time...it works great! If the light or ice dispenser do not work, the problem may be *********** board.

Front panel stopped working and fridge is not running now, interior light works ,no humming or clicking sounds when plugged in ,short power failure before it stopped working

IF the power failure was due to lightning or something that caused a surge, the control board is most likely bad. You can attempt to reset it by unplugging it for 5 minutes and try again. If not you are looking at a new control board. You could contact your insurance for coverage due to the power issue.

Ice maker not working

what was reset button for? is it something like defrost the unit when press. you said that it is already replaced then likely your problem is with the unit thermostat all ref unit has it and most likely to fail overtime, it is also possible that there is leak on the sealing doors which makes your ice melts faster when the motor stop pumping freon

My daughter's 1994 camry power windows suddenly stopped working. All at once. We had arrived home and were closing the windows when suddenly they stopped working. Also the brake light is always on,...

I work an a neighbor's Camry (she's 84) and I have learned that these cars have issues with the harnesses as they pass through the door jambs-first, check fuses though, at the driver side kick panel and under the hood at the power distribution center. Check the relays too, and you car has circuit breakers, you push the reset with a paper clip to reset it. They are great cars but they do electrical stuff sometimes, just look at your owners manual for locations of the fuses to start.

I don't have hot water suddenly. Please help me.

You posted under Rheem 81VP which is 6 gallon point of use electric water heater.
3 things can cause problems: Power going to water heater, thermostat with reset button, and 1500watt element.
Check that 120Volf circuit breaker is not tripped.
Open cover on side of tank and push in red reset button.

If reset button is not tripped out or will not reset, and water heater has power, then replace thermostat is best start point.

Also test element, since elements burn out:

GE profile refrigerator line freezes, fan blows but no cold air?

OK, I think I understand. Thing is we need to do a few things to see if your control board is the problem or if the fan or a freon leak is the answer. You need to tell me if this began suddenly or if over a period of time. I have been having trouble lately from Fixya if the customer (YOU) responds to my solutions. Let me know if you want my help and I will see if I get a email letting me know of your response, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Bosch PowerStar125 won't heat and I can't get one element to work

It sounds like you have a copper canister unit. Ohm out the elements in that one canister. the directions are on the websight for bosch, or I can walk you through it. But you will need a digital multimeter to do this. If you have a blown element in that one canister, then the tco will not reset.

Kenmore Coldspot Side by Side Model 51559101

I also have the same refrigerator model 106.56566400 and periodically when the power goes off in the house the refrigerator & freezer will stop cooling. Try pushing the on/off button located inside the refrigerator to the left of the digital temperature controls. Hold the button down, this turns the unit off, then press it again to turn it back on. This basically resets the refrigerator, and most of the time works to get the refrigerator cooling again. Try this first before calling a repair man.
