I want to hook up propane can to Coleman road trip grill blue

I'd rather not due to safety concerns.

Should be a damper which can be moved cutting back and increasing the air intake

There may be some grease or other debris around the problem burner. It could be causing a high flame. Clean around it well, then turn it on and leave it running for a minute or two.

Take the entire grill to your local propane company, so they can look at it and replace it on site for you. Call around first, as some places no longer have a repairman on site at any given time.

You could have a bad regulator.

Ho cold waas it out? remember that when its cold out the presswure of the propane tanks are real low and you have to warm them for the pressure to go up. if your by your car then you can place them inside with the heater going till they warm up ofr now worm them up inside first. good luck
