Paper jams

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers Chances are, when your tech arrives, he'll tell you that the jams were caused by worn feed rollers. The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease.

Paper jam (e3) BUT no paper jam

make sure you open all check points, if yours has a rear feed through, look in there also. it only takes a tiny piece of paper to cause it to say that. use a flash light, have had to use one to find several that way.

Canon pixma mp810 keeps jamming ....the paper won't feed through the back or the front

Go to this link. In the search window in the center of the screen, type "paper jam" and click on the search button. Then select "paper is jammed inside the printer" and "removing paper jams". You will see an illustrated guide to checking all areas where paper may be jammed inside your printer.

Won't photocopy / warning light flashing /

The paper feed system is worn (rollers, and separation pad). What is happening, is extra sheets are being fed into the machine primarily because the separation unit is not doing it's job properly. So rather than just one page at a time being fed, it is allowing an extra sheet to "creep" in intermittently, causing the jam. And the indicator you are seeing is the "jam" indicator.

What do I do if there is no visable paper jam on the printer Canon MP 160 printer

The flashing code may be a sign that your printer needs servicing, it's most likely the mechanism that feeds the paper. If you tell me what printer it is maybe I can help you interpret the code.

Hope this helps

Canon s520

The number of orange flashes between green flashes indicates the type of error, as outlined below. Check the cause and take the appropriate action. Two flashes: Out of paper, paper jam or paper feed error Replace the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. Three flashes: Paper jam If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, replace the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. Four flashes: Empty ink tank One of the ink tanks is empty. Replace it. If all of the above won't help, unplug the printer from the power cable, wait a while, and plug in. If that didn't fix you, I guess it's time to get in touch with canon, or a repair lab you trust. Good luck
