I have a similar model LG side by side and the ice maker is the my least favorite part. The ice tray does not return to level so when the water comes on it (sometimes) flows over the tray and freezes up under the tray. After awhile this will keep the tray from drumping out ice and I have to chip it loose.

Ice maker doesn't fill or dump WSF26C2EXY02

One of the most common - and innocent - causes of an ice maker that won't dispense ice is that an ice clump has formed inside. In order to drop the ice cubes from the mold, heat is released to lightly melt them.

Why will the ice not dump? I replaced the ice maker because it was not turning to dump the ice after the ice was frozen. Same problem with new ice maker. Reset button causes the ice tray to turn, dump...

Your ice maker is controlled by the main board. The ice maker has a sensor that tells the board what the mold temperature is. The first step is to make sure your ice maker is turned on. There is an "on/off" setting on your control panel. Look very closely at the glass depicted. Some models show ice cubes in a glass, others have the words ice off. It's difficult to tell without looking close. If your ice is on, a Samsung qualified tech should be called to check connections, and the board.

No ice.

Pout about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it dumps but does not refill , replace the water inlet valve ( the piece the wall water line connects to behind the refrig ) . Also check the tube which fills the ice maker as it will freeze up , not letting water go into the ice maker . This is also caused by a bad water valve .
If the ice maker does not dump the water poured into it , replace the ice maker .
Also , check that the coils are clean under the front of the refrig , as this will cause slow ice production and can cause the ice maker not to dump due to too warm of temperature . Ice maker has to be 5 degrees to operate .

No ice Ice maker does not fill up with water

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If it freezes and dumps , then check the fill tube going to the ice maker , to see if it is frozen up inside . If it is , replace the water valve behind the refrig , where the wall water line connects to on the refrig . If the ice maker dumps the cubes , but does not refill with water , then the water valve is bad . If the ice maker does not dump the cubes , then replace the ice maker .

Model 22 Icemaker is not making ice

The following assumes that the ice trays are properly filling with water. If not, check the water control valve.

As long as the ice trays are filling with water, it's not actually the function of the ice maker to make ice. Ice simply forms because the freezer compartment is cold.

The icemaker's function is to sense when ice is formed in the trays and to dump the ice into its container.

This requires the use of a thermostat to sense the water/ice temperture and 'tell' the icemaker when it's time to dump the ice.

During the dump cycle, a heater briefly comes on as the arm swings through the ice cube compartments to assist in loosening the ice cubes and make them easy to dump.

If the icemaker is filling with water but you get no ice, I suspect that either the control circuit (thermostat, relays, and wiring) is not 'telling' the heater to come on, or the heater is burned out.

Some units also have a timer circuit such that both the timer contacts and the thermostat contacts must be close in order to initiate a dump cycle (i.e., it must be time to dump and the water in the cubicles must be frozen).

A skilled homeowner could make these repairs, but if you don't feel comfortable taking your icemaker apart and testing the components, I advise leaving the job to a qualified repairman.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
