Close top lid and spins @ 45 % and feels jammed
SOURCE: GE WASHER SPIN OUT PROBLEMS
Sounds like the suspension for the drum is having problems - there are usually springs holding the drum up and acting as shocks - one of the springs may have come off during an unbalanced load.

SOUNDS LIKE THE LID SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE, ITS A SWITCH THAT CONTACTS WHEN DOOR CLOSES, THEN RELEASES CONTACT WHEN DOOR OPENS. HAVE A PRO CHECK IT AND REPLACE OR BYPASS IT.............

The belt could be broken, if not. Unplug washer for 2 minutes, plug back in, open and close lid 7 times, this should reset electronic motor.

Had same problem with GE wssh300 front load washer. Removed two screws from front bottom panel (under washer front). Pulled off panel, loosened screw from a seal ring on the rubber flex hose going to a 4" square plastic housing. Reached down inside and found a ton of lint (probaby a 2" balls worth) jamming outlet. Removed lint an works geat. Very easy to do by tilting front of washer up and putting supports under front to keep elevated. Be careful to make sure supports are sturdy washer can't dop when servicing.
