I have a Sony KDF55WF655 LCD projection and the unit will not turn on. The standby light flashes green and then to red with 6 blinks when trying to turn unit on. The redlight will continue to cycle red with the six blinks. Arox. one year ago this same thing happened and the repairman replaced a fuse. I have searched the large panel borads in the rear back corner of the unit and the only fuse I see is a glass fuse. If I remember right the item the repairman replaced was a wired fuse. Is this correct? Where do I need to look? New bulb does nothing as I have a spare. Thanks
I replaced the thermal fuse on my kdf-55wf655 and still have the 6 blinking lights,,any other ideas.
I need pictures..............please
Powertech,
The thermal fuse is p/n# 1-910-023-93 come with fuse + cable + connectora and is 102c 1a 250v rated. It's a bit difficult to install without removing the light engine because it sits on top. But I have slid the housing assembly back far enough to do it without.
If you want a real good idea what you're looking for order the part, you can't miss it then...

i have the same problem
I have the same problem. I have ordered the fuse. Can anyone tell me where it is located in the set?
red light blinks 6 times and never turns on. replaced lamp.
I have the exact same TV and the exact same problem?? any solutions
After playing, set will turn off with the green light blinking maybe nine or ten times and then come back on. It may happen again soon or may play for some time before it happening gain.
I also have the same issue with the KDF-55WF655 55 inch. After turning on the tv will automatically turn itself off after a min or so. The power light flashes approximately 30 times and then the tv turns itself back on. It then stays on for a few minutes and then the continuous process of automatic shutting off and on repeats itself. Any suggestions? The Sony manual offers no suggestions and the Sony technical support online is "offline"!
We have the same problem, what needs to be done?Sounds like we bought a bad Sony product!
