If i turn on tv i here clicks and red light starts to flash 6 times in a row and just keeps flashing can i fix this my self ?

Hi, there are numerous flashing codes for these sets so I included a web page dedicated to the Sony flashing light and you can look the forum over and try and pinpoint the number of flashes and the related causes. I also included the cuase for the 6 blinks and this can be fixed if this is the only issue.
Usually, the problem resulting in 6 blinks, pause, 6 blinks, etc. is a defective thermal "fuse", which is actually a bimetalic temperature switch. You may find the "KDF55WF655 6 blinks/KDF42WE655, KDF50WE655, KDF55WF655, KDF55XS955, KDF60WF655, KDF60XS955" information package of value. Once you get to this site request the troubleshooting package. It has step by step on how to replace the thermal fuse and where to get the parts.
I believe this fuse is right next to the light housing
