sounds like it is related to the docking profile. try to delete and re-create the docking profile and if it does not work, you may have to try system restore to a point before this happened, or even reinstall Windows.
I've got THE same problem. You can try reset your iPod. But it didn't work by me. You can reset your iPod by pressing THE on/of button an THE home button for 10 seconds.
