It is not the Kobo that has set the password, rather the router for the wifi that you are trying to connect to. You just need to know the password for the router to let you connect. If a router has no wifi password, it is considered unsecured and ANYONE can access it. So most all routers use password protection. If it is YOUR wifi system, and you no longer know the password, you can change it if you access the router setup for wireless and change the password. Be advised, however, that all devices that connect to the wifi will need to change their passwords as well or not be connected. If it is not your wifi you are trying to connect to, then you need to obtain the wifi password from that wifi system's administrator.
First: Your WiFi password is located under the WiFi device.
Second: on the WiFi connection status (right bottom corner of your screen), click it and click on your WiFi name (SSID), key-in the password in the box.
The D-link support desk can help with the default password to the unit, but can not tell you what your wifi password is. If you have a device on wireless you can go to the wifi adapter and usually check a box that says "show password in text". If that is not an option, log into the D-link and change the wifi password to something you know and can remember.
Note: changing the wifi password will break the wireless connection to any existing thing that uses wifi. You will have to go to each device and change them to the new password.
if it asks for the password when you try to connect thru wifi, then the available wifi access has setup a password, that we can't give you because the password has been setup by the establishment/owner/person where you are trying to access the wifi. an example is starbucks, before you can use their wifi, you have to purchase and by then they will give you the password. try to look for another wifi hotspot/connections or access that is free
